Deep Finesse, sired by Western Paradise, was a recent winner at Pompano Park in 1:49.3. 

The time of the mile was the fastest ever paced by a Maritime sired horse and bested the record of 1:50.0 previously held by Semjac Legacy (also sired by Western Paradise).  

Originally trained by Phil Pinkney, Deep Finesse was bred by Donald Porter of Belmont, Nova Scotia.

For over a decade, Tony & Gerda Zuethoff have successfully owned and operated Pictonian Farms in Pictou, Nova Scotia. 

With the assistance of employee Ann Van Den Broek, the modern Pictonian Farm facilities feature large 12x12 stalls, a year-round indoor exerciser, and is surrounded by many fenced pastures.

Pictonian Farms is proud to breed some of the industry's finest Standardbred racehorses. The operation also offers other great services to suit the needs of many different horse breeds.
