Driver Marc Campbell captured the first two $9,540 Atlantic Sires Stakes ‘A’ divisions with a pair of perfect two-year-old pacing fillies on Wednesday evening at Red Shores at Summerside Raceway. Campbell sent his own trainee Malabrigo to the top from third after the :30.4 opening quarter in the second ‘A’ split and led the rest of the way through panels of 1:01.3 and 1:31.4 en route to a 2:00.4 score by one and a quarter lengths. Malabrigo, a 1:59.4 winner while debuting in Callbeck Stakes action, was purchased for $11,500 at the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition Sale by Greenoaks Farm of Mississauga, Ont. The daughter of Western Paradise-Lots Abunny is a full-sister to stakes winner For The Luv Abunny and WEG circuit competitor Kid Carson, who has banked just over $200,000 to date.
